Merit separates from its parent company and becomes independently owned, with leaders like Charles “Charlie” Hays and Bruce Bosse guiding the firm. This shift allows the company to shape its own culture, deepen local relationships, and focus on steady, sustainable growth in the region.

Mill Springs Lodge provides Bluegreen Vacations with a modern, lodge-style addition to the Laurel Crest Resort that enhances both capacity and guest experience.
This project includes the construction of a 1,000-seat cathedral and the renovation of the original church into a meeting center, supported by a new campus infrastructure featuring a road, bridge, and master-planned parking.
A modern six-story concrete facility with 900 workstations and standout amenities, including a half-court gym, saunas, cold plunge pools, terraces, and a rooftop putting green.
Selected for its superior management and competitive proposal, Merit Construction completed the award-winning, 2,100-student Hardin Valley Academy in 2008, featuring a two-story atrium, a 695-seat auditorium, and comprehensive fine arts and athletic facilities.
