The new park includes a regulation high school baseball field, which is home to the Central High School Baseball team. BMX track, soccer fields, a dog park and a maintenance building. This project was the recipient of the 2010 Metropolitan Planning Commission Award of Excellence and the 2010 Tennessee Parks and Recreation Association new facility of the year.
