Merit Construction is heading to Maryville. The city's Board of Education unanimously approved a $10.9 million contract to expand Sam Houston Elementary on Melrose Street, and Merit Construction has been selected to lead the work.
The expansion is a direct response to the school community's growth, with the project scoped to add meaningful capacity and updated facilities for students. A built-in contingency fund of $800,000 is included to cover any unexpected costs along the way. Construction is expected to wrap up around June 30, 2027.
