The 102,885 square foot Student Activity Center at Carson Newman College, a $10 million facility, consisted of a new intramural facility including three basketball courts, three racquetball courts, an Olympic size pool, a new post office, bookstore, cafeteria and classrooms as well as a total renovation of the existing Varsity Basketball Gymnasium. Merit Construction, Inc., completed the phased construction within the allotted times established by the college and completed the work within budget.
